Word Spot!
Happy Valentine's Day!!
Spanish
I LOVE YOU = Te quiero (Tay kee-AY-roh)
Literally translated in English as I WANT YOU, in Spanish "te quiero" is the common way to say "I love you" in day-to-day interactions: child to mother, father to daughter, friend to friend, when hanging up the phone with relatives, etc.
"Te Amo" is reserved for romantic or intense love situations!
Welcome Tara and Kinsey! We're so glad to have you on our team!

The Business of Being Born
A documentary film from executive producer
Ricki Lake and director Abby Epstein
From the website:"Birth: it’s a miracle. A rite of passage. A natural part of life. But more than anything, birth is a business. Compelled to find answers after a disappointing birth experience with her first child, actress Ricki Lake recruits filmmaker Abby Epstein to examine and question the way American women have babies.
The film interlaces intimate birth stories with surprising historical, political and scientific insights and shocking statistics about the current maternity care system. When director Epstein discovers she is pregnant during the making of the film, the journey becomes more personal.
Should most births be viewed as a natural life process, or should every delivery be treated as a potentially catastrophic medical emergency?"
Attend a screening of the movie before it is released!
Dates scheduled for January 26th, February 2nd, and February 10th at Zenana Spa and February 6th at Milagros!
